David Fifita re-signs with Gold Coast Titans
NRL superstar David Fifita has knocked back offers from rival clubs signing a three-year contract extension with the Gold Coast Titans.
Fifita's decision comes after the Round 10 cut-off loomed large over his future, with the Titans having until then to activate a trigger clause in his existing contract.
The 22-year-old had been linked to a move to the Sydney Roosters, but he has now recommitted to the Titans, who he joined in 2021.
Titans coach Justin Holbrook said he was "over the moon" with Fifita's decision.
"He's a superstar of the game and we're lucky to have him at the Titans," Holbrook said.
Fifita is one of the most damaging forwards in the NRL, and his re-signing is a major coup for the Titans.
He is expected to play a key role in the Titans' push for finals footy this season.
